This is a Z-Wave network lock and is compatible with a variety of home automation and security systems, which when activated allows you to remotely lock or unlock your doors from any web-enabled device. The lock can also send emails or text messages with pre-programmed alerts, be set to privacy mode for disabling all other users, and log the lock’s history, all from your mobile device.
The lock uses four standard AA batteries (included), which last approximately a year with normal use—and don’t worry, if the batteries die before they can be replaced, a backup 9V battery can provide enough power for you to enter the code and gain access to the lock. Of course, the built-in low battery alarm will warn you if your batteries get low.
